Mind Body Train

Mind Body Train is a modern approach to training using a combination of yoga and Pilates principles with science and performance training techniques. By creating a mind body connection within the gym, everyday wellness enthusiasts and elites athletes alike reach their goals more efficiently and with longer-lasting, transferrable results.

Suzy Yeagley opened the Bloomington Body Bar, a “mind body training studio,” in November 2012 after years of fitness as a gymnastics coach, Pilates teacher and group fitness instructor.  She and her husband Todd met at IU, graduating in 1995.  They moved to Columbus, OH, where Suzy was a high school biology and anatomy teacher and Todd played professional soccer.  Eventually they returned to Indiana, where Todd became the head coach of the Indiana Men’s Soccer program, and along the way had three boys, Ben, Grant, and Jay.  Over time, Suzy combined her own interests in wellness with Todd’s lifestyle of coaching in order to improve her students’ active lifestyles and to help them believe in their own inner athlete, no matter what age or prior experience.   Suzy has completed a wide range of certifications and training programs, but focuses on developing her teaching framework using a combination of the willpower Method®, barefoot training, scientific and evidence-based fitness methods, and functional or athletic based yoga.  She is a Master Trainer for the willPower Method® and an ACE® Group Fitness Instructor, has a 600-hour Pilates certification, and is currently studying for her Power Yoga for Sports certification under Gwen Lawrence, trainer to the various New York professional athletics teams.  Suzy’s fitness philosophy is based upon the goal of evolving fluidly with the most current and comprehensive information on human movement and communicating with positive and “smart” teaching cues that enable the student to carry their fitness into everyday life.  This flows into the make-up of the Bloomington Body Bar staff, which is largely comprised of instructors and trainers with scientific backgrounds, an appreciation for continuing education in fitness, and ties to advanced levels of athletics.
